Description

The Server products are aimed at Servers that run key business processes and applications. They are designed to offer 24 x 7 real-time monitoring, alerting and reporting of availability, link utilization, hardware parameters and connectivity parameters.

Objects Monitored

A comprehensive set of parameters, services and processes on any server running Sun Solaris, Linux, Microsoft NT 4.0, 2000 and XP, IBM AIX, HP UX, and Digital Alpha can be monitored. The complete list of monitorable items can be obtained from info@optimacysolutions.com

Client Notification

Client notification only takes place when events and status changes have been investigated and filtered by the Optimacy Networks technical support team. This reduces the chance of false and needless escalations. All confirmed status changes are reflected immediately on your individually customised web-based status screen. In addition to this there are a number of notification options for you to choose from: SMS text*, pager, e-mail, telephone** and fax.

Monitoring Frequency

The standard polling frequency is set to once every five minutes. Given that we investigate all status changes and alerts we are able to notify you within fifteen minutes of an event requiring your attention taking place.

Monitoring Methodology

We monitor all items via the Internet. Alternatively we can monitor via secure lines or via a VPN.

Security

Appropriate security precaution-such as encryption and password protuction-are taken whenever data is transmitted between our highly secure Network Operations Centre and your locations. There are also a number of other security options that can be implemented at your request, depending on your specific requirements. Our security team will be able to advise you on the most cost-effective solutions based on our extensive experience.

Reports

In addition to the status screen, all availability and performance data is presented to you in easy-to-view graphical and statistical summaries. These reports allow you increased visibility of your performance trends and therefore allow for fact-based decision making. Historical data for up to six months is available as a standard.
